Write a memo to your employer on two pages or less on the following issue: Youve been advised that your companys Senior Account Manager has been forwarding emails complaining about the President of the United States to other people in the company and to some of your companys clients. One of the recent emails included a remark critical of his alleged religious preference.

The writing should be free from grammatical and spelling errors, not be philosophical in nature but legal in reasoning and be readable for the layperson to understand. These aren’t legal briefs; they are interoffice communications to non-lawyers. Write them accordingly. You may choose from the two options provided:
Compose a one-page memo addressing the potential legal harm from the situation and how you suggest minimizing the risk and/or damage to the company as a result of what has happened.
Option 1: Write a memo to your employer on two pages or less on the following issue: Youve been advised that your companys Senior Account Manager has been forwarding emails complaining about the President of the United States to other people in the company and to some of your companys clients. One of the recent emails included a remark critical of his alleged religious preference. One of your employees complained not about the remark about religion, but that the emails were partisan against the members of their political party. Your boss has asked you how you recommend handling the situation.
Option 2: Its October 27th. You have just been advised that the order placed by Eskimo Corp for glow-in-the-dark plastic cups that were due for delivery on October 28th to celebrate Halloween were shipped timely, but dont glow in the dark and the word Eskimo is spelled Ask-a-mo. Your company could turn around and provide compliant cups and ship by October 30, which would result in the client getting the order on October 31. Draft an e-mail style memo on the legal ramifications to your company for its breach of contract and recommend a strategy of how to approach the affected customer, who hasnt gotten the bad news or the non-conforming order yet.
