How long can you go without checking your phone (or Facebook, email, etc). Some studies suggest that our dependence on technology costs us valuable creative-thinking time. For this make-up assignment, go at least 24 hours without using your phone (or checking FB/email on the computer). Use that time to read a book, take a walk, work on artwork, or write. Then write a one-page response (double-spaced) to this experience. How hard was it to go without your phone/tech? How long did you make it, and what activities did you pursue instead? Did the experience change anything for you? (Your mood, your attitude, your creativity in the short-term, etc).
