Select a country and conduct research into the cultural characteristics and market practices that you believe should be important considerations in establishing a compensation program for a

US company that plans to locate there. It might be helpful to narrow your research to a specific city within that country. Then:
(1) Discuss how the cultural characteristics and market practices you have identified in your research might impact the design of a company’s compensation system.
(2) Describe at least five common compensation practices in the country (such as offering variable pay tied to individual performance, or providing car allowances for key employees, or offering

additional cash in lieu of retirement benefits). Discuss why these practices might provide an organization with a competitive advantage in attracting and motivating employees in that market.
(3) Finally, make at least three specific recommendations about what a company moving into this country should (or should not) include in its compensation program
4 Be sure to include adequate justification for each of your recommendations.
