Assignment 2 is based on your application of the capacity building model developed within one approach to organisational transformation (IDEAS) in relation to your own workplace setting. The intention is to give you the opportunity to work with aspects of this model, relating them to you workplace

A more theoretical approach. The task is to critically compare and contrast the capacity building model (within IDEAS) with the approaches to organisational transformation you have studied in Module 2 and explore the OT concepts embedded in the ideas C_B process (drawing on Module 3). This option also requires you to reflect on the potential applicability of the capacity building model in your workplace setting – the factors that might support and challenge this, the implications for leadership and for the work of practitioners
Criteria for assessment
• Critically compare and contrast the COSMIC capacity building model to other OT approaches (as identified in Module 2) /8
• Critical appraisal of organisational transformation concepts within the CB Capacity Building model (with reference to the OT concepts identified in Module 3) /8
• Explain your understanding of the concept of capacity, how it is built, its implications for leadership and the work of teachers (or other practitioners)
